The Upminster and District Horticultural Society was formed in 1907 and has around 850 members.
They organise coach outings to venues of horticultural interest between April and October, and a programme of lectures that are usually held on the second Tuesday of the month in the New Windmill Hall, St. Mary's Lane, Upminster from October to May (except February).
The society also supports local charities.
The cost of annual membership is £2 single, £3 couple. Postal membership is £2.75 single and £3.75 couple. The fees are paid in February each year.
They are always happy to welcome new members. Why not drop in at one of their lecture evenings (non-members welcome for a small fee) and see what you think?
